Set up your sound-maker
You can use anything that produces a signal.
Stream that signal to our server
See below how to configure using BUTT on your computer.
(Broadcast Using This Tool.) You can use almost any ICECast compatible tool.
Schedule a matching Webstream on our server
See below how to configure a websteam and add it to the schedule.
Configure BUTT
Using the [Settings] button... From the [Main] menu, Click [ADD] to add a server connection. When the configuration screen opens ('Edit Server' window) select:
Name: You can call it whatever you want.
Type: Icecast
Address: remote.radio614.org
Password: (ask the program committee)
IceCast mountpoint: This will be the same as you put in the StreamURL on the LibreTime Webstream. (See below.) (Name it something. Not ‘myShow’)
IceCast user: source
You can browse and update other parameters in BUTT - however, the current, default settings are fine.
Start the session by clicking the play/arrow button ► (right below the "e" in idle in the above picture.)
Create a webstream in Libretime
This step may not work unless you are already running an IceCast session from a tool like BUTT. Configure and start that service on your computer before attempting this step.
Use the 'Webstreams' option on the Libretime menu.
(Contact the program committee to get access to libretime.)Name: (Call it anything you want: something descriptive)
Stream URL: http://remote.radio614.org:8000/myShow
(Name it something. Not ‘myShow’. It needs to match BUTT's IceCast mountpoint setting as configured above.)
Default Length: 01h 00m (adjust as needed)
Stick that stream into a show on the calendar.
Right click on the show and choose 'Schedule Tracks'
Add your webstream (created above) to the show and click [OK].
